The course

The Ateneo della Danza presents the inevitable appointment with the Intensive Summer School, now in its 11th edition.
9 days of full-immersion in the name of dance and fun.
From 3 to 11 July the students, guests of the University of Dance, will have the opportunity to study with great names in Italian and international dance. During the internship days, students will follow classes in ballet, pointe technique, male technique, repertoire, character, contemporary dance, floor barre and physiotechnics, as well as workshops and contemporary repertoire lessons.

On Sunday 11 July, at the end of the internship, all students will have the opportunity to perform in the final Grand Gala.

To participate in the Intensive Summer School it is necessary to take a video pre-selection. Instructions for submitting your application can be found by clicking the button at the end of this page.

During the video pre-selections, the Examining Commission will be able to assign up to a maximum of 50 to students it deems deserving scholarships the value of 280,00€ deductible from the full price of the Intensive Summer School.

Remember: the scholarship is not applicable to the guaranteed reduced price until May 31, but only on the full fee.

The sanitation of the premises continues to be carried out by a certified company, and routine sanitation practices are followed in full compliance with the provisions of the law.

For these reasons, the students will have to respect, for the entire duration of the internship, the current rules of social distancing, hygiene and use of preventive subsidies without the possibility of derogation.

To date it is clear that even this edition of the internship, unfortunately, will not be able to include subjects whose practice cannot guarantee the correct social distancing, such as the Two-way pass or the Contact, while it will have to rearrange the use, when not permitted by law, of environments such as changing rooms and showers.

The University will remain updated at all times with the new DPCM, which, in addition to regulating the social life of all of us, will be essential to protect and safeguard the health of students and families.

The University, as last year, continues to update every hygiene and prevention procedure indicated by the current DPCM The school is sanitized by a professional company with certified treatments. Cleaning and disinfection are carried out regularly, in full compliance with health regulations. For the University, dance is important, but everyone's health is even more important. 

Each student and parent must arrive already equipped with the basic prevention devices, as required by the current Law Decrees. Inside the premises it will be possible to find additional gloves, hand sanitizers and masks.

Please note that it is necessary to use plexiglass visors to follow the lessons. The use of surgical masks will not be allowed during motor activity, as, in the hottest period of the year, they are even more damaging to the respiratory system of the students.

As per DPCM, access to changing rooms and changing rooms will not be allowed. Children will only be able to use the toilets and sinks to wash their hands. Shoes and jackets must remain outside the school, ordered in the spaces provided. It will be possible, in the dressing rooms, to deposit the bags with their personal effects, also ordered in the appropriate spaces.

The University, as mentioned, follows the provisions of the law on prevention to the letter. For this reason it will not be possible, until new provisions, to use the showers.

Given that the DPCM may vary much before the start of the internship, it is advisable to contact the Secretariat by telephone to request the latest information and provisions, in order to be prepared at the time of registration and on the day of arrival at the office.
