The course
The Ateneo della Danza presents the inevitable appointment with the Intensive Summer School, now in its 13th edition.
10 days of full-immersion in the name of dance and fun.
From 6 to 16 July the students, guests of the University of Dance, will have the opportunity to study with great names in Italian and international dance. During the internship days, students will follow classes in ballet, pointe technique, male technique, repertoire, character, contemporary dance, floor barre and physiotechnics, as well as workshops and contemporary repertoire lessons.
On Saturday 15 July, at the end of the internship, all students will have the opportunity to perform in the final Grand Gala.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ONCE THE CAPACITY OF THE STRUCTURE HAS BEEN REACHED, THE ORGANIZATION HAS THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE ENROLLMENTS EARLY WITH RESPECT TO THE DATE INDICATED IN THE ENROLLMENT FORM, REGARDLESS OF AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS WON.
To participate in the Intensive Summer School it is necessary to take a video pre-selection. Instructions for submitting your application can be found by clicking the button at the end of this page.
During the video pre-selections, the Examining Commission will be able to assign up to a maximum of 50 to students it deems deserving scholarships the value of €280,00 deductible from the full price of the Intensive Summer School.
Remember: the scholarship is not applicable to the guaranteed reduced price until May 31, but only on the full fee.

Grand Gala
The 2023 edition of the Gran Gala, as per tradition, the final evening of the internship, will see the participants of the internship perform during the final show, with songs prepared during the working days.

The deposit will be paid at the time of registration, taking care to have already sent the registration forms to the Organizing Secretariat and only after confirmation of receipt and registration by the latter. The balance of the participation fee must be paid NO LATER THAN 23 June 2023.
The deposit, paid together with the registration, It is NOT returnable in case of non-participation, subject to the cancellation of the event by the University of Dance. In the event of withdrawal from enrolment, by 31 May, the deposit will not be returned to the student and will have to bear the entire cost of the teaching fee. In the event that the student withdraws from enrollment from 1 June, he will have to pay the full fee booked by him, including teaching and any other services, for which the Organization has already booked and paid for.
Precautionary measures during class, due to Coronavirus
The Ateneo della Danza, and all its staff, are always at work to guarantee all participants in the Intensive Summer School the utmost respect for all the hygiene and prevention rules that the DPCM in force provide for sports environments. The sanitation of the premises continues to be carried out by a certified company, and routine sanitation practices are followed in full compliance with the provisions of the law.
For these reasons, the students will have to respect, for the entire duration of the internship, the current rules of social distancing, hygiene and use of preventive subsidies without the possibility of derogation.
The two-step and Contact lessons will be held only compatibly with ministerial provisions, as the use of changing rooms and showers will be subject to the provisions of the law.
The University will remain updated at all times with the new DPCM, which, in addition to regulating the social life of all of us, will be essential to protect and safeguard the health of students and families.
We remind you that those who do not use the canteen service will not be able to consume other food inside the structure, to avoid food contamination.

At the moment it is not possible to know. The students will be divided into groups that allow the distancing deemed suitable by the provisions of the law, based on the capacity of the halls of the Ateneo della Danza.

No. All the halls of the school will be used only and exclusively by students and teachers. Therefore parents are asked not to stay inside the structure to avoid crowds.
Yes, it is possible to stay a few days more subject to availability of the hotel. This service will vary the final price of the accommodation and meal service will not be guaranteed for additional days.
Lessons will start in the early afternoon of July 6, approximately around 14 pm, but it will be possible to show up for reception from 30 am. We remind you that on July 11, there will be no canteen service for lunch.
Classes will end on July 15th after the Final Grand Gala. At that point the students can be taken into custody by their parents, upon notice, or they will have to return to the hotel with the tutor. Check out is scheduled for Sunday 16 July by 10:00.
Please inform the tutor in a timely manner if you decide to retrieve your paperwork after the Gran Galà, so that the tutor is aware of who will be staying at the hotel on the evening of July 15th.
Underage students in tutoring must use the meal service for lunch and dinner. Adults or students who do not stay overnight at the hotel with the tutor, can choose whether to have only one meal a day (lunch or dinner) or not to use the service at all. The cost can be requested directly by contacting the secretariat.

The tutor is a figure who will be present at the hotel with your children, will accompany them to class in the morning and in the evening they will return to the hotel for the night.
To avoid unpleasant situations, we inform you that all the children who choose the partner hotel will return home in the evening with the specially organized shuttle. In the event that there are recreational evenings or shows, the whole group will return at the end of it. No exceptions will be made, except in case of discomfort.
During the internship, evening leisure or entertainment activities will be organized so that the kids can have fun and make friends.
Evenings are highly recommended for all students.
Once your daughter arrives in Siena, our staff will take care of recovering him and accompanying him to the hotel / school. This service will have an additional cost which will be communicated to the interested parties after request.
The Grand Gala Dinner will be held on July 12, immediately after the show at the Teatro dei Rinnovati. Dinner is limited and on reservation. Once the available seats have been used up, no further reservations will be accepted.
Remember that underage pupils in tutoring who will not have their parents to recover them on the evening of July 12, must absolutely book the Grand Gala Dinner, in order to be under the tutor's supervision. Any adult students in the hotel may not participate, but for dinner, they will have to organize themselves (by requesting directly from the hotel restaurant or organizing in another way).
